PONDEROSA PINE
One section of Campus LKR’s path system is called the LKR Path (Sections A to F on the map). Along this path, six sections have been planted with the most common tree species used in the production of VKR Group’s windows and doors.

Ponderosa Pine
[Pinus Ponderosa]
Region of Growth: Ponderosa pine is particularly common in the Rocky Mountains and along the Pacific coast of North America, from southern Canada to the states of Washington, Oregon, and California, as well as in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
The tree has been used in production at VELUX Greenwood in the USA since 2007. Ponderosa pine shares some characteristics with Nordic pine and is widely used throughout North America.
