Our two business areas — roof windows and skylights, and vertical windows — provide a solid base for sustained growth and value creation. Through our flagship companies, VELUX and DOVISTA, we drive financial value by maintaining market leadership and focusing on innovation and operational excellence.

Financial investments

Our substantial portfolio of financial investments comprises listed equities and fixed-income securities. It also includes alternative investments in credit, real assets, and private equity funds.

KOMPAS VC

As a cornerstone investor in KOMPAS VC — an early-stage venture capital firm — we play a pivotal role in accelerating innovations within digital transformation and decarbonisation of the built environment and manufacturing industries. With offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen and Barcelona, KOMPAS VC supports innovative founders throughout their companies’ life cycles with minority stake investments in early-stage rounds.

We allocate our financial resources toward taxes, reinvestments, and dividends to create a harmonious balance between business growth and societal contribution. As a global company, we pay taxes in many countries and view responsible tax payments as essential to a well-functioning society. We reinvest part of our profits into our core business areas and financial investments to fuel ongoing growth and innovation. Furthermore, approximately 90% of our dividends are distributed to the Villum Foundation, enabling significant philanthropic contributions, with the remainder distributed among other shareholders.
