Villum Kann Rasmussen was a great innovator and several of his innovative designs came into production. E.g. the Aromatic coffee maker that was produced from 1963.
VELUX GGL 1968
The world famous VELUX GGL was first presented at a fair in 1968 in Herning, Denmark.
Villum Kann Rasmussen’s eldest son Lars Kann-Rasmussen took over from his father. In 1971 he became director of Dansk VELUX in Denmark in 1971 and in 1976, he became a member of the management of the parent company (VKR Holding). In 1992, he became chairman of the board of VKR Holding. In 2010 Lars Kann-Rasmussen retired from the business side of the operation and concentrated his efforts as chairman of the board of the VILLUM FOUNDATION.
